Ìyálóde Ìbàdàn!

ẸFÚNṢETÁN ANÍWÚRÀ by ALÀGBÀ AKÍNWÙMÍ ÌṢỌ̀LÁ
(Kí Ọba òkè dẹlẹ̀ fún un yín)

Ìyálóde Ẹfúnṣetán was the second Ìyálóde of Ìbàdàn. She was a very influential woman who wielded so much authority.
Wealthy. Powerful. Fearless. Ruthless.

She had a horde of slaves, but had no living child.

And at a point, she decreed that no slave of hers must either get married or even get pregnant; the penalty being DEATH.

Adétutù, a slave, defied this order by getting pregnant. She got impregnated by another slave.

When Ìyálóde got wind of Adétutù's pregnancy, she blew hot, and eventually ordered the beheading of Adétutù.
This was the beginning of her downfall.

You want to know what made her ruthless?
Her end?

GO READ THIS BOOK.

MATURITY IS A MINDSET, NOT AGE.
HERE ARE 14 SIGNS YOU ARE MATURE :

You are not scared to be alone.

You realize money is not evil. Lack of money is.

You know that you are your worst enemy and you are your best supporter too.

You realize that life's much better when no one knows anything about you.

You don't care what other people think about you anymore.

You stop chasing meaningless relationships and focus on improving yourself.

You focus more on the opportunity of learning than the risk of failure.

You don't stress about things that are out of your control.

You understand that 9-5 won't help you achieve financial freedom.

You understand that you get paid based on the value you are providing.

In the real world, grades aren't the only measure of value. Connections, background, and practical skills often surpass academic performance. While grades may open doors.

You understand that life's much better when you focus on improving yourself rather than partying every weekend.

You realize that in the end only your family and a few true friends will be there for you.

You also realize that in the end, even your family and friends will leave you, only the God remains with you✌️

I will never forgive 2go, why should I? How? Not after what 2go did to me.

I was 19 years old then, using 2go like others. I had connected with one Presh452. Peeping through my Nokia 2626, I could see a beautiful DP. Yes, Who no like better thing?

The connection began from chatting to exchange of phone number. Then, night calls. Then, midnight by 12:00 AM to 5:00AM you'd call and speak with anyone free of charge. When that country was still called Nigeria before it turned to Bongo.

Awwww. Midnight, innocent calls — innocent conversation — innocent "I love you...I love you too" raining like a heavy downpour in Mbanefo Hostel. Boys were calling their sweethearts, feeling loved and to be loved. Then I would be in the reading room, Presh452 would call. She's no longer Presh452 but Precious.

When the call enters, I'd leave my books to speak with Pre Pre. Awww. Love Nwantịntị. Precious is a beautiful girl. Queen of Persia. Bianca is learning beauty from her. Precious is as beautiful as the Arab Queens. In fact, through 2go, she sent me beautiful pictures.

"This is you?"

She'd say yes.

Awwww. Her beauty has turned into a butterfly, flying inside my stomach, getting out through my oesophagus, connecting to my alimentary canal. Oh, canal man cannot understand the things of the spirit.

"I can't wait to see you in Aba," my sweet Precious would say.

"I can't wait to see you too," a lost Ọnụkwube would reply.

Midnight calls back to back. Precious had told me number of children she wanted. She was going for 6, I needed just 2. In fact, if possible, 1. But 2 is okay. She didn't want 2 children, after all her father was so rich and had properties in Aba with a fleet of car. In fact, her elder brother was in Europe where he was a billionaire in Euros. So, money no be problem. "Let's have 6 children, my family are rich."

Nobody Tells You About Being on Facebook Everyday..

1. Commenting is now a full-time job - and guess what? No salary, just vibes.

2. You'll save 100 posts... and never go back to even one.

3. You came online to check one thing, now you're watching a dog and goat become best friends in a village.

4. You'll start replying messages in your head and forget to actually type the reply.

5. Facebook memories will either humble you or make you scream "Who posted this on my behalf?!"

6. You'll see one funny video and next thing, it's 2 hours later and you're still scrolling.

7. You'll laugh at a post, share it, then start praying Facebook doesn't remind you of it next year.

8. "I'll just stay for 5 minutes" - famous last words.

9. You'll make friends you've never met, but they hype you more than people in your real life!

10. You'll promise to take a social media break... but Facebook dey call your name like Moses in the burning bush.

Happy Weekend Beautiful Family ❤️.

Through my research so far!😄😄

Face me i face you will make you understand that aye o pe meji. .

1. It’s sometimes called Face Me I slap you due to the incessant fights daily. E ma ja ju. If you don’t fight, someone will fight you. You must fight. "Ta lo gbe omi ti mo pon sibi?" (Ija de).

2. You can never go hungry unless you don’t know your way around. Enter the kitchen at the backyard and start whining who’s cooking. Drop small gist about another neighbor, walahi waa jeun ju. Gbenusi no be atenu.

Output - Gbeborun
Input - Food
3. There’s always that man who will claim he has been living in the house before the house was even built. They are always proud of the years they have lived there. They know everyone and when they were given birth to. (Ancestor Tenant).

4. There will be this group of girls living together. They are always at home during the day except at night. Mothers always warn their children not to enter their room. "Ti mo ba ri e ninu yara awon Anti yen, maa fe lu e daku" but these sisters are always kind. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

5. There must be an old woman who settles a fight. Mama of the house. She is always sitting outside monitoring what is happening on the street. In most cases, she's the landlady. They always have nicknames like "Iya Jeje" "Iya Kofewahala" "Iya Cele".

6. There’s always a landlord wannabe whom everyone hates. He acts like the landlord and he’s always like “Don’t pour waste there” “Pay your nepa bill” and "We will lock this gate by 7pm" bla bla. You will think his name is in the Landlord's will but he's a tenant too. Gboromideleru.

7. There must be a regular debtor who doesn’t pay his bills on time, he pays January bills by April. Always coming up with excuses. "My mama just die", the same thing he said last year. Ogbontarigi onigbese.

8. One rich tenant must be in the house, he will keep buying things his landlord can never afford. He owes small rent but he’s using 4 ACs, 2 deep freezers.
