Rowan Atkinson struggled with a stammer long before the world knew him as Mr. Bean.
Speaking could sometimes be difficult.
He also faced rejection and uncertainty early in his career, like many performers trying to break into television.
But he kept going.
At university, he began developing the physical comedy that would eventually become one of the most recognizable characters in entertainment.
Years later, Mr. Bean was born.
A character who barely needed to speak at all.
Instead, Atkinson relied on facial expressions, movement, timing and visual comedy.
That turned out to be one of the reasons Mr. Bean worked so well around the world.
There was almost no language barrier.
People in completely different countries could watch the same scene and laugh.
The man who once struggled to get words out became famous for creating a character who barely needed words in the first place.
Mr. Bean went on to become a global phenomenon.
Sometimes the thing that makes life harder does not have to disappear.
Sometimes you simply find another way to make it your strength.
