Am out today investing in myself and learning about positive parenting!
As a mom juggling parenting and running a small business in Lagos, finding that balance is everything.
But sitting here listening to 'Understanding a Child’s Capacity,' it hit me... parenting is just like fashion design honestly. 🧵❤️
In my workshop, I never force a rigid, heavy Asooke into a design meant for a soft, flowing silk. Every fabric has its own weight, texture, and capacity. If you force it to be something it’s not, the seams will tear.
It’s the exact same thing with our kids. They come with their own unique patterns and capacities. Our job isn't to force them into a mold that doesn't fit, but to understand their unique texture and cut a beautiful design that helps them shine!
Whether I'm sourcing the finest luxury lace or guiding my kids, patience and premium care make all the difference.
