It’s very possible to suffer unknowingly for the offense of someone you’re journeying with—someone who looks familiar but is spiritually a stranger.
These kinds of people can cost you your peace, your belongings, and even your life if you don’t take heed.
Who have you chosen to journey with? And how has your life turned out—good or bad?
If it’s good, it means you’ve made a wise decision. But sadly, many people have found themselves in serious dilemmas just because of the wrong companionship.
Imagine choosing someone like Jonah—disobedient to God—and embarking on a life journey with him. Suddenly, your ship begins to capsize, not because of your fault, but because of his hidden disobedience.
Who have you yoked yourself with that has stolen your joy, your peace, your dignity, your life savings, and even your godly virtues—all in the name of “helping” them or trying to figure things out together? And yet, they pretend not to see your efforts or acknowledge your sacrifices.
The passengers on Jonah’s ship suffered deeply. In desperation, they began throwing their belongings into the sea to lighten the ship. Can you imagine what might have been in those bags? Maybe treasures, goods, personal valuables. But they had no choice—they had to let go to survive.
Who have you been journeying with that has wrecked your life—physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, maritally, or financially?
It’s time to cry out to God—just as the people in Jonah’s ship did.
Remember, a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Call upon your God now so you can be free.
You cannot force someone to love you or support your destiny. Only God knows what is best for you. Let Him lead your next journey.
Enough of the losses. It’s time to give up that painful chapter—not in defeat, but in strength—so a new and better one can open for you.
You should know by now that I cherish you deeply. That’s why I write to you often.
Until I pick up my pen again, please stay well—and let Jesus Christ preside over your next journey.
