Chronicle of a Designer

I’ve had this button-like thing on my finger for as long as I can remember. 😂

Then one day this year, while making an outfit, one thread passed through it ooo! 😩

Before I knew what was happening, it became a big wound, and I already knew this thing was going to fall off.

But because a designer also has to cook, wash and do other things involving water 😂, I still had to use this hand and dip it in water.

Anyway, after all the drama, it finally fell off.

And that was when I realised…

Something that had been on my finger all my life was suddenly gone. 🥹😂

Hand-wash with mild detergent and avoid harsh chemicals that can fade the dye.

Avoid Prolonged Soaking
Don’t leave your Adire soaking for too long. A quick, gentle wash helps preserve its beautiful colours.

Dry Away From Direct Sunlight
Dry your Adire in a shaded, well-ventilated area to prevent the colours from fading.

Iron With Care
Use low to medium heat and, preferably, iron the fabric inside out to protect the print and texture.

Store Properly
Fold neatly and keep in a cool, dry place. Avoid damp areas to prevent mildew and unpleasant odours.
