Love Everybody, but Not Everyone Is Your Friend: A Divine Command
LOVE everybody but not making everybody our friend is a delicate balance that requires wisdom, discernment, and self-awareness. While love is indeed a divine commandment, forming genuine friendships is a choice that involves mutual trust, compatibility, and shared values.
Love is a concept that permeates through cultures, religions, and philosophies. The Bible, for instance, emphasizes the importance of love in numerous passages, with Jesus himself declaring it as one of the greatest commandments.
However, not everyone we encounter in life will become our friend, nor should they. Friendship is a deeper, more intimate bond that requires mutual trust, shared values, and emotional investment. While we can love everyone in a general sense, forming genuine friendships requires a deeper level of connection that may not always be possible or appropriate with every individual.
Furthermore, attempting to make everyone our friend can dilute the authenticity of our relationships.
True friendship thrives on mutual understanding, compatibility, and shared experiences.
By indiscriminately trying to befriend everyone, we risk spreading ourselves too thin and compromising the depth and sincerity of our friendships.
This is rule No1. If you want to live long and engage positively.
