Why do people expect tailor-made, detailed, high-quality sewing to be at the same price as market-ready-wears made in bulk?

I’m not calling anyone out, but we need to talk.

As a fashion designer who spends hours sourcing quality fabric, cutting to fit, sewing with precision, and delivering the perfect finish—you cannot compare that with mass-produced wear.

Yes, I said what I said.

Some people will buy expensive fabric and hand it over to someone who will sew "what I ordered vs what I got" 💀
Then come online crying.

Sis, your tailor is not a magician — they’re a reflection of your choice.

Truth is, quality sewing is not cheap.
And cheap sewing is rarely quality.

Some days, I feel like a superhero. Other days, I just want a long nap and quiet.
But every day, I choose to show up; for my kids, for my clients, and for myself.

Balancing motherhood and running a fashion business hasn’t been easy. There were moments I stitched with a baby on my back… times I paused sewing to wipe tears or feed a hungry mouth… nights I stayed up cutting fabrics after everyone else had gone to bed.

I’ve cried. I’ve prayed. I’ve pushed through. And I’m still standing—stronger, wiser, and even more grateful.

To every mother juggling dreams and diapers: you’re not alone. Keep going. You’re doing better than you think.
