It pleases my heart to inspire younger ones especially Gen Alpha that love and celebrate millinery about what is possible ✨
To me, young girls are Princesses and I call them so. Mayomide mentioned that she was given an assignment that required her to buy modeling cars, trees and people but she didn't find a place so I told her she could get them from book stores and architecture shops.
Through the World Walk Hat, she could see that anything is possible. As long as you think big and believe it is possible then you can make it possible 💯

Hello, My name is Praise Akindoyin and I'm the Creative Director of HOD Millinery Couture fondly known as Hand Of Diamond. I participated in the 2026 World Hat Walk and I made a hat named World Walk Hat. This hat was named after the occasion because the occasion inspired the design.

The design consists of elements in the world such as grasses, trees, 51 national flags, people, cars, water and road. These elements exist on planet Earth which has been represented with a chocolate brown base.

Due to my background in architecture, I have been able to create this masterpiece by applying my architectural design skills. The idea behind this design was to bring to life women around the world walking boldly and unapologetically with a hat on. It's more than a walk, it's a celebration of creativity, culture and the art of millinery. I hope that women around the world, regardless of your number in your nation, are encouraged to express your unique personality by wearing a hat.

We are happy to inform you that we will be organizing a Q & A live session with Matthew Eluwande, a UK-based Hat Maker and the Creative Director of Matthew Eluwande.

Matthew Eluwande is an acclaimed UK-based Nigerian fashion designer and award-winning milliner (hat maker) known for his sculptural, culturally inspired designs and his story of resilience against adversity in the fashion industry. He operates his brand from High Barnet, London, creating bespoke hats and fascinators, notably for occasions such as Royal Ascot and weddings.

High-Fashion Events like AMVCA in Nigeria and Royal Ascot in the UK are around the corner and Matthew Eluwande would be sharing with us the preparations towards such events and the creative mind behind his millinery designs 🥰
