For 7 years, I poured everything into this business. Every naira, every decision, every season, the brand came first. Last September, I finally did something for me.

I chose Paris. Not just because it’s Paris, but because fashion lives there, and I wanted to see it, breathe it, let it feed the work.

I packed one wedding dress, found a model, and shot on the streets of Paris with the Eiffel Tower behind us and strangers walking past unbothered. No big crew. No big plan. Just me figuring it out the way I always have.

I built this brand in Lagos without a single contact or connection. If I could do that, Paris was never going to stop me.

I didn’t post this for almost a year because it didn’t feel perfect. But I’m learning that showing up matters more than waiting for perfect, so here I am.

Unpopular opinion: I didn’t start sewing out of passion. 🧵

I started because it was the cheapest skill I could learn, as a first child without a father at an early age, Survival mode. That was what it was.

After my service year, I packed up and moved to Lagos. No family here. No relatives. No connections. No safety net. Just a girl who decided that if she was going to build something, she might as well do it in the city that doesn’t slow down for anyone. Lagos for show 😄

No childhood dream of draping brides. Just a needle, a machine, and the decision to figure it out.

But somewhere between the struggle and the stitches… it became something else entirely.
It became passion. Then purpose. Then a business.

And now? Seven years later, I dress brides on the most important day of their lives

(Also, nobody warned me that fashion could eat your whole family’s savings. E dey chop money o 😂 but it’s worth every single kobo.)
