Not like I even know what a good finishing looks like but the tailor in me will be claiming over Sabi 😂😂

I'm only grateful that I don't get to ask who did their dress because my teeth nor for surely dey my mouth again 😂

I thought the hardest part would be sewing beautiful clothes.

I was wrong.

The real battle was the sewing machine.

One month passed... I still hadn't mastered it.
Two months passed... I still hadn't mastered it.

The moment my foot touched the pedal...
Vroooom! God abeg

The machine had a mind of its own.

I wanted to sew a straight line.
The machine said, "Let's draw a map of Africa instead." 😂
Every line I made on paper or fabric looked crooked. Wavy. Zigzag. Everything except straight.

I used to wonder, "Will I ever get this?"

Lines begged to be helped but I wasn't worthy to help them 😂

People look at a simple straight skirt and think, "How hard can it be?" Just cut the fabric and sew a straight line on both ends and you have it. Ah ah 😂

Thank God for you. Mine took almost two weeks before I finally got it right.

If it wasn't the zip, it was the waistband.

If it wasn't the waistband, it was the lining.

If it wasn't the lining, it was the length.

Every time I thought I was done... something else was wrong.

There was even a day I walked away, hid behind the building, and cried. I honestly wondered if fashion design was for me.

Looking back now, laugh wan just wound me 😂😂🤧

Sometimes, the projects that frustrate us the most are the ones that teach us the lessons we'll never forget.

If you're learning something new and it's taking longer than you expected, don't be discouraged. Progress rarely looks perfect.

POV: You're a fashion design newbie trying to take measurements.

I honestly thought this was how the measurement was supposed to be taken. I was so confident too. 😂

Looking back now, it makes me laugh because I genuinely had no idea what I was doing.

The funny thing is, I'm still learning every day.

I can't say I've mastered every measurement yet, but I know one thing for sure, I understand much more today than I did when I first touched a measuring tape.

Every embarrassing moment, every correction, and every "Ah ah... who taught you this?" has been part of the journey.

We all start somewhere. 😊
