THERE WAS A TIME I WAS THE ONE BEING TAUGHT.

I remember when I was learning how to sew. I didn’t know everything, and every little mistake was another lesson.

Today, I find myself standing beside someone else, teaching them what I once had to learn.

This vintage shirt is one of those moments.

It’s not just about the finished shirt hanging there looking good. Behind it are the measurements, the cutting, the sewing, the corrections, the little mistakes and the patience it takes to get things right.

Teaching an apprentice has taught me something too.

You have to be patient enough to teach, and they have to be willing enough to learn.

Because nobody becomes a good tailor overnight.

Today, they are learning from you.

Tomorrow, they might be creating something that makes you proud.

Every finished piece has a story. This one is part of the journey.
