It's IWD2026.

On my way to church this morning,the thought of what to post on all our social media platforms about this year's IWD crossed my mind and Luke 1:45 -
"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” i smiled because that's one of my go to bible promises to remind myself of His promises through all sea*ons,but how is that related to IWD celebration was the next thought as i dismissed it and entered church.

Guess what! The hymn in church today was - Standing on the promises of Christ by Rusell Kelso Carter and as i sang along with the choir,Luke 1:45 came to mind again as a reminder that the promises of God are valid through all sea*ons.

Dear Woman,as we celebrate international women's day today,i bring to you luke 1:45 as the the balm for whatever sea*on you are in right now as we go through life fulfilling purpose,may you have the grace to go through life knowing fully well that God's plans and purpose for you will come to perfection...Amen!!!

To every woman broken and feeling tired- may you find a rea*on to hold on with hope -Amen!

To dream nurturers....we see you...keep grinding.

And to the supportive men - Fathers/husband/ brothers/Support system- we see you and we appreciate you all.

I did a thing....OOTD in Ekiti dialect.

The year is starting off on positive vibes, we the people of Bellafricana creative community had a reset session today to kick start 2026 business year and i tried out my own version of OOTD in ekiti dialect.

You know we have plenty SAN in Ekiti so laugh low if you want to laugh so that you don't get a court sermon for laughing 😆 😄.

It's my birthday...

Dear Lord, it's your daughter Olayimika again this year back with my vow of gratitude for the gift of life and Your never ending grace for the past year,Your mercies too numerous to count renewed daily all through the past year.

My Daddy in heaven,there is nothing that i have or will ever have that is/will be enough to show my gratitude for all Your kindness and goodness over me and all mine,so today openly and boldly with all that is in me,i bow in awe of You my creator. ...Thank you Jesus for the gift of life.

Back to Work.....2026.

Reflecting on 2025....

In 2024,i went to God with just one single prayer -Break new grounds for me and i backed it up with one of my favorite bible verses - Colossians 1:17 ' He is before all things,and in Him all things holds together'. Yes, a testimony to that prayer came,an international door opened and still enjoying the benefits,not that i limited God, but i thought that was the answer to my prayer.

Then 2025 came and it was as if i lived more outside Nigeria than Nigeria with the international opportunities that came with 2025,in October 2025 - we walked the global stage with 70 other countries as one of the two designers from Nigeria,seeing global models try on my designs back stage and the comments from it was a confirmation of my 10years doing this that God is faithful and truly in Him all things holds together.

Today,i am super grateful to all of you who made our 2025 an extra super good year from the referrals,purchases,support ,prayers and holding up the door so we can pass through...thank you all.

I know that i make this promise every year, but please believe me this time that i will make our items more accessible to buy - a functional website is coming up and a very easy to navigate purchasing platform.

Today,if you are reading this - i leave you with another favorite bible verse ; Psalm 91:4 "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart" -Amen!

In 2026,God will cover you with His feathers, and you will find refuge under His wings,He will be your anchor for 2026 - Amen!

While we are still here breathing,give life your very best - live it like me ; I work double hard,i pray hard,i hope,i imagine,i dream,i wait and i expect - as i daily mind the business that pays my bills.

No matter what the past year did and the people of it,be kind and intentionally grateful through it all.

....Day 304

As at sat with a copy of dream counts in my hand in the air, my mind drifted....

It's been a super busy year with business trips out of the country and around the country, it's been a year of noticeable positive growth that i am super grateful for,the very 10th year out of banking managing my hobby as the main source of income now a full business with staff.

How did i become a fashion designer?
My childhood friend said she saw everything but not fashion....even my parents wanted a Medical doctor and i tried by being a good science student,i even added technical drawing and applied electricity to it,and i passed for medical school.

Plot twist.....i did banking and finance ,was a risk analyst for 10 years...technically i am still one and then Fashion School came in,and here i am doing what i like not out of survival but passionately loving my life.

For a child from the little village of Jebba by the Niger bridge with a very controlled and planned upbringing, my journey has been one very interesting but daily while i live it with gratitude to God for the twists and turns as i show up and show out for the things that matters trusting God with His promise of Ruth 2:12,i am super grateful to God for opportunities,gift of access and people.

Abuja.....tomorrow is Fusionlifestyle Family fun fair..be my guest...

Lessons of life and the beauty of knowing God in the middle of it all is faith.

Writing this here today doesn't mean it's been a 100% fantastic year, but i am here today, the last day of October 2025 with a heart of gratitude through it all with hope in Christ for all.

No matter how tough it feels.....look deeply,there is something to be grateful for.
