RAISING YOUR SPIRITUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD.
...even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
(1 Peter 3:4)
Isn't surprising that God prices his children even after the ultimate price of our redemption being the blood of Jesus has been paid.
The above scriptures clearly tells that God places different value on his children; some are of great price, others of small price and ofcourse, those of average price.
How does God price you?
The value God places on you informs his organic commitment of his person and power to your life, destiny and ministry.
This is why he once traded nations to deliver the people of Israel to fulfil the messianic prophecy. It's all about value.
The expressed attitudinal posture and quality of our born again spirit determines the value God places on us in our walk with him.
Although, the nice garments, shoes and jewelleries we wear can increase our worth before men but it's useless before the Lord.
For men sees on the outside but God rates men by unseen parameters wielded on the inside.
Apostle Peter in our reference scriptures tells us three thing our spirit must possess to price greatly before God:
1. Uncorruptness.
We must endeavor to shield our lives from the contaminating influence of lust and foundational sins as revealed by the ten commandments. God lightly esteems those who go about sinning wantonly disregarding the Spirit of grace. The more Samson disobeyed his nazarite consecration the less valuable he became in the spirit and eventually in life and ministry until he became a clown for entertainment purpose. Sin reduces your ministry to entertainment.
2. Meek spirit.
In a generation where arrogance and pride is applauded for boldness and confidence, meekness is fast becoming a lost virtue. Meekness is not weakness as some supposes and disdains. It's great power held back and used only as God authorises. The meek man will always take the back seat until God elevates him. Remember, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble and have him inherit the earth. Moses the meekest of all became the greatest. Become meek and see God increase your value.
