I HAVE BUILT THINGS WITH MY HANDS, BUT I HAVE NEVER BUILT ANYTHING WITHOUT PRAYING OVER IT.

As an entrepreneur and a businesswoman, I don't joke with prayer.

Because there are some things hard work alone cannot give you.

Prayer gives me confidence when I don't know how things will turn out.

Prayer gives me strength when business gets overwhelming.

Prayer gives me peace when the numbers don't make sense.

Prayer gives me wisdom when I have difficult decisions to make.

And most importantly, prayer gives me hope.

The hope that even when I cannot see the way forward, God is already working behind the scenes.

I have had seasons where I worked so hard and still didn't see the results I expected.

I've had moments where I questioned my decisions, my business and sometimes even myself.

But prayer has always been the place I return to.

Before the meetings.
Before the big decisions.
Before I launch something new.
When things are going well.
And especially when they aren't.

Because for me, entrepreneurship isn't just about strategy, money, marketing and hard work.

I need God in the room too.

I can plan.
I can work.
I can learn.
I can take risks.
I can do everything within my power...

And then I pray and leave the rest in God's hands.

That's where my confidence comes from.

Not from knowing that everything will always go according to my plan, but from knowing that whatever happens, I am not walking through it alone.

So if you're building something right now and things aren't looking the way you hoped, don't stop working.

But don't stop praying either.

Sometimes the most important business meeting you'll have is the one you have with God when nobody else is in the room.
