So many parent are funs of sending their children out to learn a skill without giving them food before leaving the house

I’ve seen in so many situations where by a student come to work with strong face acting as if he was be@ten before coming to work because of hunger.

As the boss you give him something to do or send him to get something the first reaction is murmuring because he is hungry and you all know that a hungry man is an man

His colleague play with him is a problem because something is wrong down in the belle,
He picks f!ghts even when the situation isn’t something that should leads to f!ght

Sometimes the hungry cause them to sleep just like the one you are seeing here . Na hunger de worry am like this 😂😂

Without food your son or your daughter cannot learn this work
You can’t send your boy to go out and learn work on an empty stomach and expect him/her to focus 🧘‍♂️

This work requires energy and one's mind to be able to focus .

please give your child food to eat from home before going to work or give them money so they could get something

Little advice to all my sewmate
1. Set Clear Prices Before You Touch the Fabric
Don’t start work until the price is understood.
Write it, say it, confirm it.
A non-serious client will start arguing from this point and that’s your first red flag.
Clarity saves you from stories later.

2. Always Collect a Deposit Even If It’s Small
A client who cannot pay anything upfront will likely delay the final balance.
Even ₦3,000 deposit shows commitment.
No deposit = No cutting of fabric.
Your time is too precious for “I will pay later.”

3. Use a Simple Agreement Message
A short WhatsApp message like:
“Price: ₦____. Delivery date: ____. Balance: ____. Payment confirms pickup.”
Screenshot it. Keep it.
People respect tailors who look organized.

4. Never Deliver Without Full Payment
This is where many tailors lose money.
Once they hold the cloth, your power is gone.
Pay before pickup is not wickedness — it is business.
Respect your sweat.

5. Learn to Say “No” Politely but Firmly
Some clients test boundaries.
If their words are confusing, their payment will be worse.
Be calm, professional, but firm:
“I cannot start without a deposit, sir/ma.”
Real clients will understand.

6. Reduce Your Kindness, Increase Your System
Being kind is not a business strategy.
Let your system guide you:
– Deposit first
– Balance before delivery
– Written agreement
– No credit
This keeps unserious customers away.

7. Identify Story-Tellers Early
Watch out for these signs:

“My salary is coming next week.”

“Just help me, I will balance later.”

“Don’t you trust me?”

“I forgot my ATM at home.”
Once you hear these lines, smile and hold your ground.
Stories don’t pay bills.

8. Return Problematic Clients Peacefully
If a client is already giving stress before payment, simply tell them:
“I’m fully booked at the moment.”
No fight, no insult just peace.
You protect your energy, time, and business dignity.
