HOW PREPARED ARE YOU?
Good evening everyone, today we want to thank God for the privilege of being alive and another wonderful opportunity to continue in our preparation to meet our Lord.
Many a times when we get informations that VIPs like Our Governors, Some well known celebrities, our fiancees or even our landlords and landladies are coming to visit us , we all will try and get ourselves prepared, tidy up our environments, wash our clothes so as to appear neat and blameless before him or her.
Now somebody greater than all the VIPs in this world made a promise of visiting us someday though He didn't reveal the actual day, date or time of His coming but He assured us that He will surely come. And the question now is....
HOW PREPARED ARE YOU? HOW PREPARED AM I?
In Matthew 24:44 the Bible said...
"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
Many of us here do take our times, spend our money in preparetio for weddings, examinations, business meetings, and celebrations. But many people are not preparing for the most important event of all—the second coming of Christ and the day of judgment.
The Bible says:
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ..." — 2 Corinthians 5:10
Whether rich or poor, young or old, educated or uneducated, every one of us will stand before God to give an account of our lives.
The question is not whether Jesus will come again; the question is are you ready when He comes?
The Bible warns:
"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." — Matthew 25:13
Many are ready for earthly things but unprepared spiritually.
Sin separates man from God. Pride, immorality, lying, hatred, drunkenness, and disobedience can keep a soul from eternal life if not repented of.
But God, in His love, has provided a way of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Which are:
1. Hearing about Jesus and His Gospel Romans 10:17, 1cor15:1-4
2. Believing the Gospel John 3:18
3. Repent from your sins— Acts 2:38, Acts 17:39
4. Confess your faith in Christ Mathew 10:32, Acts 8:37
5. Be baptize (Burial in water) Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-4, 1cor 12:13
6. Then be faithful untill death
"Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." — Revelation 2:10
Therefore, if you are not yet a Christian according to the New Testament pattern, now is the time So that the Lord will not meet you unprepared.
My friends, tomorrow is not promised. Death may come today, and Christ may return sooner than we think.
So I ask again:
ARE YOU READY?
HOW PREPARED ARE YOU?
If Christ should come today, where would you spend eternity?
Make your life right with God while there is still opportunity.
May God bless His word and Bless you as you meditate on these words in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
