On a normal day, I do 240mls in a sitting every 3 hours..
Yesterday I was very stressed. I went to the market myself and made my meal myself for the first time since I gave birth.

The main reason I get the much I do all these while is because I don’t do anything, all the water and food I eat are channeled into making milk. My body doesn’t need to conserve some for energy..

By the time i was done, I had spent over 6 hours without pumping. I’d have normally gotten a little above my normal 240/250mls but
See the outcome of my session after 6 hours interval. I couldn’t get up to 180mls

One thing I learnt while nursing my sister children is that they communicate with their p**p 💩 too

Most times, we all gather to watch the outcome in their pampers to know the next action to take.

From the smell of a p**p, my sister could dictate if the child is about to suffer malaria/fever.

As an infact, green p**p has so many pointers. I saw a mum ask in my last post why her 2 months old p**p is green.

- It could be an indication that you consumed iron food (check if you just had plantain especially) or vegetables

- It could be a very mild stomach upset in rare cases.
Quick digestion too.

- They accuse Formula mamas a lot, it’s the iron they get themselves from these formulas which are not bad atall.

- Then there is this preaching for nursing mothers that you should always allow your baby to launch on one breast, such it empty before transferring to another breast that way, the baby will get both the foremilk and hindmilk.

You can only be worried when it’s consistent and baby has fever while at it.
