What Kind of Clothes Do Children Really Want? 👧🧒

Many parents focus on what looks beautiful, but children often care about different things. Here are some things children usually want in their clothes:
✨ Comfort First – Soft fabrics that do not itch or feel heavy.
✨ Freedom to Move – Clothes that allow them to run, jump, play, and explore comfortably.
✨ Fun Colors – Bright, cheerful colors often attract children.
✨ Pretty Details – Bows, ruffles, pockets, flowers, or fun designs can make a child excited about a garment.
✨ Easy to Wear – Children prefer clothes they can put on and take off without difficulty.
✨ Feeling Special – Many children love clothes that make them feel like a princess, a superhero, or simply confident and happy.
✨ Age-Appropriate Designs – Designs should match the child's age while still being stylish and attractive.

In children's wear, there are two clients: the parent and the child. The parent pays for the outfit, but the child wears it. A successful design is one that makes both happy.

FITTED VS TOO TIGHT — THERE IS A DIFFERENCE 👗✨
One common misunderstanding in fashion is thinking that a very tight outfit automatically means a perfect fitting.
But the truth is:
A well-fitted outfit should enhance your appearance while still allowing comfort and confidence.
At Tabitha Art of Fashion, we believe fashion should not only look beautiful — it should also feel comfortable to wear.
So, what is the difference between a fitted outfit and a tight outfit?
A FITTED OUTFIT:
✔ Sits properly on the body
✔ Enhances your shape beautifully
✔ Allows easy movement and comfort
✔ Gives a neat, classy, and elegant appearance
✔ Fits without pulling or stressing the fabric
A fitted outfit is structured to complement your body while still giving you freedom to sit, walk, breathe, and move comfortably.
A TOO-TIGHT OUTFIT:
✖ Feels uncomfortable on the body
✖ Pulls excessively around the chest, waist, or hips
✖ Restricts movement
✖ Causes fabric tension and rough finishing
✖ May easily damage seams or zippers
✖ Often makes the outfit look strained instead of elegant
Sometimes, clients request outfits to be “very tight” thinking it will make them look more fitted, but overly tight clothes can actually reduce the beauty of a style.
True elegance is not in discomfort.
The beauty of a well-made outfit is when: ✨ it fits properly
✨ feels comfortable
✨ flatters your body shape
✨ and still allows confidence and ease
This is why accurate measurements and proper fitting are very important in fashion.
At Tabitha Art of Fashion, we focus on creating outfits that give both: 💖 beauty
💖 comfort
💖 confidence
💖 elegance
Because fashion should make you look good and feel good at the same time ✂️✨

Before blaming the outcome of a dress, ask yourself this:

Did you choose the right fabric quality and the right fabric quantity for the style?

Many people focus only on quality, forgetting that some styles require a large amount of fabric to achieve the perfect fitting and beautiful finish.

A fabric may be very quality, but if the quantity is not enough, the style may not come out as expected.

Always consult your designer about both the quality and quantity of fabric needed for your desired style.

Quality + Quantity = Perfect Outcome ✨

A crucial consideration often overlooked after assessing a fabric's texture, thickness, and quality is purchasing from reputable vendors. This aspect cannot be overstated.

Trusted fabric sellers provide valuable insights grounded in experience and customer feedback, offering honest assessments of the fabric's characteristics, including shrinkage, colorfastness, durability, and suitability for specific styles.
Fabrics frequently come in varying grades and qualities, such as Grade 1, Grade 2, double-face quality, and single-face quality, as exemplified by Duchess fabric, which can differ significantly in terms of thickness and quality.

A trusted seller will transparently explain these differences, highlighting the benefits of each, such as durability and finish. They prioritize customer satisfaction and long-term relationships, ensuring that only quality materials are sold.
Conversely, sellers focused on quick profits may misrepresent their products, selling lower-grade fabrics at premium prices. Trusted sellers not only provide quality products but also offer expert advice, recommending fabrics that will achieve the desired look and sometimes introducing customers to superior materials. Ultimately, purchasing from trusted fabric sellers is vital for ensuring quality and satisfaction.

“This is not how I wanted the style to look…”
“Why is the outfit turning out like this?”
“The picture looks finer than mine…”
Wait first 🫷🥹
Before you ask more questions…
Did you choose the right fabric for the style?
One of the biggest mistakes many clients make is choosing fabric based only on beauty or price.
Yes, the fabric may look beautiful in the market…
The color may be attractive…
The price may even be tempting…
But not every beautiful fabric is quality fabric.
Sometimes, the problem is not the tailor.
Sometimes, the fabric itself cannot give the structure, fitting, softness, or finishing that the style requires.
As your fashion designer, part of my job is not just to sew beautiful outfits — but also to guide you in choosing fabrics that will give you:
✨ Comfort
✨ Durability
✨ Beautiful finishing
✨ The exact outcome you desire
Because the truth is:
The right fabric can completely elevate a simple style… while the wrong fabric can reduce the beauty of even the best design.
This and many more are what you’ll learn from the TAF Brand this week 💜

Stay fashionable.

From TAF – Tabitha Art of Fashion, we wish you a productive week. I pray that this week will be blessed and fruitful for us all.

This week, let’s make it a goal to learn new things. Learning and upgrading our skills is very important in the fashion industry.

About two weeks ago, my boss called me for a project involving a ball dress. When she mentioned it, I was excited because I always love opportunities to learn something new. Even though I have made a few ball dresses before, I still believe there is always more to learn.
So I went there, and we worked on the ball dress for two days because it had to be delivered that same week. Everyone put their hands on deck to make sure the work was completed on time.

Trust me, I learned a lot from the experience. The beauty, elegance, and skill that go into making a ball dress are truly amazing.
In the coming posts, I’ll be sharing some tips about ball dresses, the things I learned, their importance in fashion, and the techniques used in making them.
Thank you, and have a productive and creative week ahead! ✨
