Salome Adaidu: Police Have Charged Gospel Singer Timilehin Ajayi with M*rder

The Nasarawa State Police Command has brought gospel singer Timilehin Ajayi to court for the m*rder of Salome Adaidu.

Ajayi allegedly d!smembered Salome, whom he claimed was his girlfriend, during her visit to his home in the Papalana area of New Karshi, located in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The 32-year-old suspect appeared before the Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia, the state capital, on Friday, January 17, 2025.

He faced a single charge of Culpable Hom!cide, which is punishable by de@th under Section 221 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.

The court ordered that the suspect be held in a correctional facility in Lafia until a formal arraignment date is set.

Before her trag!c death, the 24-year-old victim was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and was serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.

Ajayi was apprehended on Sunday, January 12, while attempting to dispose of Salome's he@d after m*rdering and d!smember!ng her body.
