Abraham was coming back from war

The dust of battle still clung to his clothes. His men were exhausted, but victorious. Kings had fallen. Captives had been rescued. Wealth had been recovered.
It should have felt like relief.
But it didn’t.
Because not every victory feels complete when the noise of war fades.
As they entered the valley of Shaveh, something unusual happened. The air felt different like the moment had been prepared long before they arrived.
And then… he appeared.
No warning. No introduction. No procession.
Just a man named Melchizedek.
He came out from Salem a name that would later mean peace. And he was unlike anyone Abraham had met before. He was both king and priest of the Most High God.
Power in his leadership.
Authority in his worship.
In his hands, he carried bread and wine.
Not swords. Not rewards of war. Just bread… and wine.
He met Abraham and spoke a blessing:
“Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
It wasn’t just a greeting. It felt like heaven itself was confirming what had just happened on earth.

Then Abraham did something significant.
He gave him a tenth of everything.
A silent recognition of divine authority.
And just as quickly as he appeared, Melchizedek was gone.
No history.
No genealogy.
No explanation.
Only the encounter remained.
A king of peace.
A priest of blessing.
A shadow pointing to something greater than himself.
And Abraham walked away changed not because of war… but because of who met him after the war.

Earlier this year, my mom told me about a 10-year-old boy who was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver on his way to school.

What broke me was not just the de@th.
It was the fact that his elder brother witnessed everything.

Imagine watching your little brother get thrown into the air…
he screams for his mother…
and diés right there in front of you.

How does a child recover from something like that?

Since then, I’ve kept asking myself:
What happens to póor people who cannot afford therapy?

Because tr@uma is real.
And many people are walking around with wóunds nobody can see.

Some people are not “diffícult.”
They are húrting.
Some are not rúde.
They are traúmatized.
Some are not cold-héarted.
Life simply bróke something in them.

I genuinely believe therapy and emotional support should be made more accessible, especially for people who cannot afford it.

A lot of bróken lives could have been mended if help was available early enough.

What do you think?

Hello everyone 🌙

It’s been a long while here, and over time, I’ve grown, changed, learned, and discovered new parts of myself.

This page may have started differently, but today, I’m opening a new chapter.

Welcome to The Moonlight Scroll ✨

A space where we will explore Bible stories deeply not just as stories we heard growing up, but as living lessons filled with mystery, wisdom, emotion, and truth.

Here, we’ll talk about hidden Bible characters, untold details in scripture, and sometimes even personal life stories that connect with these lessons in ways that feel real and relatable.

I’m excited for this journey, and I hope you’ll come along with me.
