Taking pap isn’t really my thing, but these days I’ve grown to love the drink version, Kunun Zaki. The goal was actually to stay hydrated, so I made pap paste (ogi/kamu) for it.

To cut the long story short, electricity hasn’t been stable lately, making storage a bit difficult. Then it clicked in my head, mum used to put bitter leaf leaves inside the paste (whole leaves, not chopped) to help prevent it from getting sour too quickly and make it last longer.

Honestly, some of these old home hacks are handy.
