You own different modest outfits and still feel like you have nothing to wear.
That feeling isn't about your closet. It's about pieces that were never designed with intention.
I raided my own closet trying to figure out why I don't wear certain things. Then I found it, this one dress that looks stunning, but the moment I put it on, I don't look or feel myself and have confidence in what I'm putting on.
And honestly these outfits can even look so beautiful, colour on point, structure checked, balance intact, but it still doesn't feel you enough. And honestly, I've come to realise outfits are not just coverings but identity and It has to represent me. Some of that dress that usually sits in your closet unwearable, or usually the last pick for your options was probably made out of trends and the likes, not intention. And a dress of trends will have no intention of you in mind. They just come and go, you end up buying them and you just feel, I don't like this anymore, it doesn't feel like me. And this led me to the saying that outfits are identity, because it has a sense of feelings. These feelings are rightness in your choices of outfits.
And this saying is related to everything I envision about my brand and my identity, which is "Styled for the King." Modesty in styles, Modesty is identity.
It's exhausting having a closet full of clothes and still struggling to find something to wear.
So before your next style session or buyings, pause and ask, does this piece speak to me? Is it intentional? Does it represent my identity? Or is it just another item piling up, waiting to be worn?
It's necessary to work out outfits with intentionality and Identity, not just what's trending.
Tell me, does this sound like you? I'll be reading your comments.
