If you’re a married woman living together with your husband, please and please if you fall sick or you are feeling any kind of unusual symptoms please make sure you do a pregnancy test to overrule pregnancy before taking any medication

So there is this lady I know
She called me and said she has been having some kind of va**na discharge that’s offensive and it has been seriously itching her and she is suspecting it’s the infection that has also delayed her period

I listened to her carefully and I told her she has to at least do some test let’s really find out the exact organism responsible for this

So I told her to do hvs test and urine mcs
Hvs(high va**na swab)
Urine mcs( microscopic culture &sensitivity)

Then I also added PT (pregnancy test )
She should do it by blood not by urine because pregnancy hormones may not be present in early pregnancy

She said she wasn’t pregnant because she has already done pregnancy test through urine

I still ask her to do the blood test which is more accurate than urine and also told her not to self medicate by taking any antibiotics or other drugs until she has confirmed she is not pregnant

I took my time yo explain and explain

For where,

“ A prophet is not respected in his own town”

In her mind she will be like

“ which day this one finish school”🤣

Anyway she went to a chemist shop and the man told her that she is having infection and she shouldn’t worry about the test because from all indications it’s a fungal infection and he can treat her

He placed her on injections after which he gave her some medication to take at home

Now instead of she getting better, she was still feeling unwell and this time it was even like pregnancy symptoms so she did another urine pregnancy test and this time it was POSITIVE

That was when she remembered me and called me

At least she didn’t lie, she explained everything that happened between she and the almighty chemist man

The worst part of it is that she doesn’t even know the names of the drugs the chemist man gave to her because he removed it and packed them in drug envelopes

Well I didn’t know what to say, because I know there are some antibiotics that aren’t used for early pregnancy

So some months later she went to the hospital for antenatal and the doctor asked her to do scan

Well the ANOMALY SCAN she did indicated that the fetus does not have forebrain and vault of the skull - medical condition called ANENCEPHALY.

The husband told her she should remove the baby because he wouldn’t want to bring a deformed baby to this world to suffer

So they had to induce her and brought out the baby who later died after delivery

So like I said earlier if you are a woman living with a man and you feel unwell make sure you do pregnancy test first to rule out pregnancy before taking any kind of medication

Infact avoid self medication

There are some hospitals you will go and complain of sickness, they will run some test for you and pregnancy test will definitely be involved

They believe that every woman of childbearing age that falls sick maybe pregnant unless proven otherwise by pregnancy test
