The truth behind creating AI pictures is simple: it is work.
But let me ask you, do people really understand what goes on behind the scenes?
Because the moment they see the final result, the first thing they say is,
“Can you do one for me?”
Like it’s small play.
Like it’s something you click once and it just appears.
But should we keep pretending that AI art is easy?
Should we act like there’s no mental strength, creativity, time, data, and real effort involved?
Why do people behave as if anything that isn’t manual labour is automatically “not real work”?
And when you finally charge for it, they still ask,
“Is it not just AI?”
So I’m curious, if it’s that simple, why haven’t you learnt it too?
Why haven’t you invested the same hours, stress, and sleepless nights?
This thing is not magic.
It is skill.
It is discipline.
It is experience.
And yes, it is draining.
Let’s talk about the part that annoys me the most.
Why do people enter your DM without money?
Do they think creators eat exposure?
Do they think data is free, or that phones power themselves?
How exactly do you expect someone to work when you’re not ready to pay?
And here’s the one that always makes me question humanity:
When you finally deliver the work, some people will still say,
“It doesn’t look like me.”
Meanwhile the pictures they sent are blurry, outdated, taken in 2014 with a confused camera.
So I’m asking again: how do you want hyper-realistic results when the source material is already fighting for its life?
How should AI recognise you when even you cannot recognise yourself in the picture?
Let us apply sense.
Today, I needed to talk to someone, so I’m talking to you.
My patience is stretched.
I’m trying so hard not to pour frustration on the wrong person.
Have you ever reached that point where you just need to breathe and reset?
Because this is my truth today.
I’m tired, but I still show up.
I’m stressed, but I still deliver.
And honestly, I want to know, how do you cope when your work is not respected?
Talk to me.
Have you experienced this in your own craft?
What do you think?
Let’s discuss.
