My dad has bees.Today I went to his house and he showed me all of the honey he had gotten from the hives. He took the lid off of a 5 gallon bucket full of honey and on top of the honey there were 3 little bees, struggling. They were covered in sticky honey and drowning. I asked him if we could help them and he said he was sure they wouldn't survive. Casualties of honey collection I suppose.
I asked him again if we could at least get them out and kill them quickly, after all he was the one who taught me to put a suffering animal (or bug) out of its misery. He finally conceded and scooped the bees out of the bucket. He put them in an empty Chobani yogurt container and put the plastic container outside.
Because he had disrupted the hive with the earlier honey collection, there were bees flying all over outside.
We put the 3 little bees in the container on a bench and left them to their fate. My dad called me out a little while later to show me what was happening. These three little bees were surrounded by all of their sisters (all of the bees are females) and they were cleaning the sticky nearly dead bees, helping them to get all of the honey off of their bodies. We came back a short time later and there was only one little bee left in the container. She was still being tended to by her sisters.
When it was time for me to leave we checked one last time and all three of the bees had been cleaned off enough to fly away and the container was empty.
Those three little bees lived because they were surrounded by family and friends who would not give up on them, family and friends who refused to let them drown in their own stickiness and resolved to help until the last little bee could be set free.
Bee Sisters. Bee Peers. Bee Teammates.
We could all learn a thing or two from these bees.

My younger cousin got 6million as an inheritance from his late mother last year

When he told me about it, I adviced him to use one million and go back to school cause he dropped out in his final year,
clear he’s results and go for youth service so he proudly say he’s a graduate

Then use one 1m to buy a plot of land that will appreciate over time

Put the remaining 4m on fixed deposit, since he’s not so business oriented and enjoy the interest

While at youth service, he should survive with his 33k allowance like others and plan on what business he has intrest in after NYSC

Well, I didn’t know that my advice fell on deaf ears , because in less than 1 week

Oga bought a car, not just any type of car but a highlander for 4.5m

I think he used about 500k for refurbishments of the car (fixing it to he’s taste)

He also moved from he’s one room self contain apartment to a nicely furnished 3 bedroom

He became a big boy and got a lot of attention from the opposit gender

Within four months he’s car had a gear box issue which costed over 500k

Other issues came up that he had to sell the car for 1.9m

From that 1.9m, he didn’t lower he’s standard o

He continued enjoying he’s fresh boy status

Now, the money is remaining 200k

He called this morning to ask I give him business ideas and claimed he wants to be serious with life this time.😀😀

Please what business can he start with 200k cause my own advise has finished?

Hetty Green...the most stingy woman in history, her wealth is estimated at more than $2.3 billion. Hetty Greene was born in America in 1835. She was the only daughter of a wealthy businessman.

She inherited from her father a fortune estimated at $7.5 million. When she was twenty-one years old, she moved to live in New York to invest her money in Wall Street and was called the Wicked Witch of Wall Street.

She married a millionaire like herself, but still lived on leftover cakes and broken biscuits in grocery stores and argued to get a free bone for her dog every day!! Hetty Greene was a very miserable woman. She sewed underpants when she was 16 years old and did not change them or buy others until the day of her death.

She never spent a penny, so it was said that she never used hot water, that she wore a black dress that she did not change until it was completely worn out, and that she lived on eating a pie that cost only two cents.

Hetty caused her son to amputate his leg because when he broke it, she delayed treating it because she insisted not to She spent no money and kept looking for free medical attention.

Hetty Greene died in 1916 at the age of 81 in New York City, and was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the “most stingy person in the world.”

The cause of her death was a stroke due to a quarrel with her maid because the maid asked for an increase in her meager salary.

She died and left behind a huge fortune, and her children did not inherit her extreme stinginess, but rather they were generous to the point that her daughter built a free hospital with her money!! ☕️

Yesterday, someone was telling me how he visited a teaching hospital with some people.
He was overwhelmed by what he saw. He keeps emphasizing on the different casualties he saw there . That experience shifted his mind on gratitude towards God.
He was literally apologizing to God for complaining about some of the days he didn't make as much money as he thought he should.
He said, going out everyday and coming back to his wife and little baby in one piece is enough for him.

Experience they say is the best teacher, but he that learns from other people's experience is wise.
Experience is a cruel teacher, it gives you the test before the lessons.
And sometimes God allows us go through some certain experience because he not only want us to learn but also to help others that will pass the same lane to come out strong just as we did, that is why we should not allow ugly experiences around us to overcome us.
God wanted to teach this young man gratitude and lead him to the hospital.
I'm glad he caught the lessons. He does not need to be patient to learn that.

I know a man that wedded his wife twice in two different church.
How did it happen.
This man is a devoted Catholic, as a matter of fact he was the Youth president at the time. So he fell in love with this lady whose father is a Bishop in the Anglican church.
The Bishop insisted that if the man must marry his daughter then he must wed her in the Anglican church, if not no marriage.
After much thought the man decided to wed the love of his life in the Anglican church despite being a Catholic.
After the wedding he then went back to his catholic church for his wedding Thanksgiving service but they refused saying that with his position in the Catholic church he did a very wrong thing by wedding his wife in a church that is not catholic.
His rights were taken from him, he was banned from taking holy communion till further notice.
The residing priest said he will take the matter to the Bishop of their diocese to decide on the matter.
It took two years for the Catholic bishop to conclude on the matter. He said that the young man will have to redo his wedding in the Catholic church and the Catholic way . So, for the past two years this man was just going to church without getting involved in any activity in the church.
After much consideration, he went ahead to do another wedding in the Catholic church.
