I’ve sat with too many designers who are talented but tired of working endlessly, sewing beautiful pieces, doing everything they were told would “work”

Yet nothing is working
No real money
No stability
Just stress, confusion, and silent frustration
I’ve seen the doubt in their eyes.
Their passion slowly turning into pressure and I couldn’t unsee it because that could have been me.
The feeling "maybe fashion isn't for me" has crept in.

And for some of you, it is you right now.

So I knew I couldn’t just keep posting tips or dropping motivation and moving on.

I want to say thank you to everyone who stayed, waited, checked in, remembered McLaurax Fashion Startup Hub, or even wondered if we were coming back.

Designers, let’s talk.

I know finding your niche feels like a struggle.

That's because the fashion industry is filled with so many beautiful paths and you're talented in more than one.

Now, you just want to do everything at once, even as a newbie.

I get it. You're multi-passionate. You're gifted. You have big dreams.

That's awesome.

But here's the truth I won’t hide from you as your coach.


I don’t believe in boxing your creativity just to appear focused.

But I also don’t believe in doing everything at once when your business is still in its baby stage.

Clarity is power. Focus is fuel.

Trying to build 5 businesses at the same time, in the name of "not boxing your dreams," is how many creatives stay stuck.

Look at Vekee James, for example.

She started by building a solid name in luxury fashion design.
She focused, built authority, then diversified with confidence and structure.

Now she’s everywhere.
But she didn’t start that way.

You, on the other hand, are just starting, motivated by Instagram reels and motivational quotes.

So here’s my heart-to-heart advice:

Start with what you KNOW and DO best.
Build consistency.
Build trust.

And when your business can stand on its own, you can expand.

There’s room for all your talents.
