I had this issue with my pattern for sometime now and I didn't know exactly what I was doing wrong. However, some days ago I was with Doyin Sonubi while she was working on a pattern and I asked her a question regarding my pattern and she asked me, "Why are you doing 100% bust shaping? Is it a strapless dress?"

That was my error; using a bustier/strapless shaping method for a design that needed a shoulder. It worked for me but I knew something wasn't right, I went home and corrected my pattern immediately.

Online classes on Pattern making are available on ABSL Fashion Institute and a physical class will be announced soon.
