Amsterdam friends ! I’m starting a drop-in pwyw sewing circle 🪡

For those of you who have never sewn before and want to learn the basics, or those who have a skirt to hem that’s been lying around for nine months, or maybe for those who have an unfinished project they want to finally get done but need a push !

It will be in my living room for now, so groups will be small and intimate. The idea is that you will work independently on what you want, and I will be around to guide you. For absolute beginners, I will teach you how to use a sewing machine so you can get started with your own projects. Everyone of all levels and experience is welcome.

It’s all about coming together, learning from each other, and taking some time for ourselves.

In June I completed my most special project to date and finally got some nice photos to prove it really happened.

Technically I started working on the dress in November of last year, but on the morning of my sister’s wedding I was still finishing it (of course). The pattern was self drafted, I included some embroidery around the neckline and sewed on some lace that belonged to our great-great-grandmother. Seeing Stacey on that day in something I made was surreal.

This dress was a lot of firsts for me, and sooo many people kept me going when I thought I couldn’t do it 🌟
