From rejected tablecloths to wearable pieces

I’m so excited to finally share this. Together with Foekje Fleur I created a limited collection of four designs, all cut from her rejected Odds & Ends tablecloths. Fabrics that were once destined for the table, and almost became leftovers again, are now something you can wear.

Odds & Ends is Foekje’s ongoing project turning surplus industry yarns into colourful woven textiles. The tablecloths in this collection were rejected due to small irregularities.

We used every piece as carefully as possible to create four of our favorite designs:
A • BLOUSE _an angle sleeve
A • PAIR OF SHORTS _a twisted leg
A • SHIRT _a twisted arm
A • BOMBER _an angle sleevE

This collection comes from one single leftover batch, so it is available only while the fabric lasts.

The collection goes live online on 30th of May.

A • N E W S P A C E

The studio is now set up at Store.
A place many of you already know where A • Brandsma has been present since 2022. After years of working closely with Willemijn, sharing the same space now feels like a natural and very exciting next step.
From now on you can find me here during opening hours and you’re welcome to step into the process and try things on.

To celebrate this new chapter, we’re hosting a late night opening Friday May 1st.

First glass, first celebration in this new space and you’re warmly invited to join us!

Nine years at Delftseplein. A space filled with making, fitting, conversations, quiet moments, and many collections.
These images are fragments of that time. The work, the process, the atmosphere that shaped A • Brandsma. Grateful for everything that happened in this space.
And then, an empty studio. The space has been cleared, the last pieces have found new homes, and the door has closed behind me.

A new chapter has already begun. The studio is now set up at Slowdown Store. This Friday evening, Slowdown Store is hosting a late night opening. It’s a first moment to gather and raise a glass in the new space. It's a soft beginning before the official opening to come. You’re very welcome to come by, see the studio, and step into what comes next.

Fresh designs for fresh days!
Two new pieces are arriving in stores this week – each made from a beautiful new fabric:

A • Sweater _a twisted arm in soft organic cotton, now in Clover Green — one of my favorite colors, full of that fresh-start feeling.

And spring wouldn’t be complete without a new fabric for A • Blouse _an angle sleeve. Now available in crisp cotton with Blue Mimosa Stripes – a breezy update, perfect for light spring layering.

Good morning everyone, it’s been a while!

It feels like I left you more than 1.5 (!!) years ago with the news of my pregnancy, and after that, I never gave you an update!
When this adventure began, I wanted to take a step back and fully enjoy this new chapter in our lives. And we did!

So, we’re excited to finally share that on January 8th, 2024, we welcomed our little baby boy, Oskar—who is already over a year old now! He’s a sweet, curious, and funny little boy who has kept us busy with endless cuddles, diapers, and lots of love.

And from now on, you’ll find me here more often, as I’ve kind of figured out the whole work-life balance… which, honestly, is no balance at all—just taking it one day at a time! 😂
To all the other parents out there—how did you do it? Any tips? ;)

In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on our progress and day-to-day challenges.

STOCKDAGEN @ A • RNHEM We are happy to announce that from Thursday June 29th untill Sunday July 2nd, we are joining the Stockdagen in Arnhem!
We had such a good time last year, we didn't want to miss it this year!

At the Stockdagen a variety of fashion designers, goldsmiths, bag designers and textile artists will sell their samples, old stock pieces and their new collection with discount!

We will bring our newest collection, old samples and stock! Besides that it is a great opportunity to have a chat with you, our costumers, to ask questions and to get closer to you!
