Pattern Drafting Basic Blocks Course (Overview)

This course teaches you the fundamentals of pattern drafting, focusing on creating basic blocks (also called slopers) for your own body measurements. You will learn how to draft:

* Skirt block
* Trouser block
* Bodice (dress) block
* Sleeve block

These basic blocks are the foundation for designing and creating custom garments.

Meet one of Atelier Aida’s loyal makers. She’s been creating her own patterns and building her wardrobe with us since April two years ago, when she started the pattern drafting and design course.

For her upcoming vernissage, she was looking for an outfit that would truly shine something she could personalize with her own printed designs. She chose Atelier Aida pieces and tried on several looks to see what suited her best.

Like many older clients of Atelier Aida, she first thought our collection might be a bit too “hipster” for her… until she tried it on 😉 And as you can see, the result speaks for itself.
