🇩🇪 Guten Morgen zum im Juni. Ich trage meine neue , die letzte Woche endlich fertig geworden ist. Gute Gelegenheit sie ausführlich vorzustellen 😉. Ich habe diesmal eine etwas andere Konfiguration (s. letztes Bild) gewählt, mit seitlichem Einsatz, geradem Bein und etwas tieferem Schritt und mir gefällt die Hose richtig gut! Sie ist etwas praktischer durch das nicht ganz so weite Bein und sie sitzt lässig und ist durch den dünnen Jeans (vom Stoffmarkt) sehr angenehm zu tragen.
Dazu trage ich ein ärmelloses Shirt nach einem selbstgemachten Schnitt aus Bambusjersey und meine Denham Jacke, die ich sehr schön dazu finde 😁.

I do not post my outfits every day this year for memademay, as I often just wear old selfmade clothes repeatedly, I’ve shown them several times in the last years. But sometimes I remember how happy I am with a selfmade item, that I have to share it 😉. Like today in a changing room (tried some blouses and didn’t like one of them 😂).

🇩🇪Zum im Mai kann ich ein neues T-shirt zeigen …. Allerdings ist es nicht wirklich warm hier, so dass ich meinen April Cardigan () drüber trage 😉. Dazu farblich passend meine Widelegjeans von letztem Jahr.
Auf der Suche nach einem simplen Basic T-Shirt Schnitt bin ich dank auf „Kalifornien“ von gestoßen, nicht neu und sehr basic aber ich finde es toll! Genäht in Größe 38 und nur in der Länge um einige cm gekürzt sitzt es super und hat Potential zu meinem neuen Lieblingsschnitt für Kurzarm Shirts zu werden. Der Stoff ist ein Bambusjersey.

Finished my new bag and I am really happy with it. It’s a bit bigger than I expected, but great as a bag for the gym. I quilted outside and inside fabric before cutting the pieces, re-using a quite thick polyester batting (which came as a „transport safety batting“ with a chair we purchased 😉). The bag has a really nice stability using this quilted fabric. No extra interfacing needed.
The inside seams are finished with bias binding. I added a pocket at the inside and two zippered pockets at the outside.
I will add a long carrying strap as well.
The pattern is the „Arched Duffelbag“ by SewlunaDesigns (via Etsy).

Finished the case for my new I started sewing at our sewing weekend. I still had to hand sew the binding, which I put to the inside of the bag. I am really happy how the bag turned out, and I love the fact that I could use some of my last leftovers from the lovely fabric. I did a bit of freemotion quilting, something I often avoid and surely need to practice more 😜. But it has been fun and I do quite like the result.

🇬🇧 Another and yet another new jacket 😉. As I mentioned in my March post, I’d already planned a second Denham jacket and I got straight to work. Right from the start, I’d had my heart set on an ‚in between season‘/summer/autumn jacket in a lovely brown… and this Dry Oilskin Twill is exactly what I’d imagined. It’s brilliant to work with and I managed to sew the jacket without ironing it at all😜. Lined with blue Venezia lining, it’s a joy to wear. I’m really, really happy with the result!
Sewn in size 12 this time, with the length shortened by 4cm again and the sleeves shortened by 2cm.

I really must come back to this project from last weekend 😉….
This bag was our common project on the with , , , and .gerda and we really enjoyed making them together! So much fun! Some of us made even more than one 😉.
It was again an absolutely lovely weekend with a lot of sewing, chatting and laughing! Thank you 😘.
