A georgous vintage coloured competition tutu.
A dusky pink 3D floral design over a muted pale green satin. The bodice has extra hooks and eyes to make bigger when needed and has a 9layer stiff net skirt, all hand sewn.
The decorating is simple with scattered diamontes in peridot, rose, and crystal ab.
Along with those are the pale pink pearls.
The skirt also has an overlay with a lettuce edge in pink.
Measurements are;
Bust 26" and can go bigger
Waist 24"
High hip 28"
Lower hip 29" plus extra
Front length from above bust to top of the skirt is 12.1/2"

This georgous tutu has beaded lace all over the bodice and selected beaded motifs on the skirt.

This lovely tutu is suitable for a 10 to 11 year old slim young lady.
The bodice is red velvet with a white stiff net skirt. Has a Lycra panty, and adjustable n**e shoulder straps.also lots of extra hooks and eyes for growth.
The top plate has had the plain gold lace hand beaded one by one in black to highlight the outer edge frill. Finished with deep red tiny rose buds and a variety of toned diamontes.

Afternoon everyone,

For over the past 5 years, I have been mentoring a very talented and exceptionally creative young lady. Some of you may already know her, but if you don't, her name is Koharu iino.

I started making and helping her Mum with her own dance costumes approximately 11 years ago. While in her early teenage years Koharu started sewing more complicated items herself and she completed her first tutu as part of her NCEA 1, gaining an impressive Excellence in her results for these efforts.

After she left school, Koharu entered NZSD for two years, studying dance and taking a keen interest in how costumes were made and produced. Ultimately a career in dressmaking, costume design and production is her goal & she's in the process of building her portfolio up with this special interest at present.

Recently, as you'll see from the photos below, Koharu has completed an odalisque costume, in which she invested many hours of handsewn beads and lace into and there are snippets of her bluebird tutu and tiara, and several gorgeous Tamari Balls in which she made me for Christmas.
