Wordpress isn't less secure than other sites, it's just popular and therefore is a good target. Make sure your username isn't 'admin' and make sure your password isn't easy to guess! Uppercase letters, numbers and even punctuation.

You have no doubt heard about it -- the latest WordPress security scare has been publicized everywhere from the BBC, to NBC, to Technorati. A giant botnet made up of "tens of thousands" of computers has attacked an enormous number of vulnerable WordPress websites.

A database issue overnight has taken down a couple of Wordpress websites on Creative Collective hosting. A technician is looking in to this urgently! Apologies for the unfortunate news first thing in the morning!
