I'm a part time creative and self taught artist and a full time mum to two beautiful little ones, as well as a wife and carer of a growing collection of house plants! The Happy Kind Co is inspired by my love of cute, colourful, retro and 90s aesthetic combined with my love of fun accessories! I have recently incorporated my cartoon watercolour portraits into The Happy Kind Co mix and I'm really ex

cited to be able to offer you such a unique and personal keepsake while doing something that I absolutely love! I'm grateful to have my little circle of family and friends that have helped me bring my business to life. I'm also incredibly lucky to have the wonderfully talented seamstress and fellow mum, Alisa on board; who makes our gorgeous deluxe bows and a number of our scrunchies! While life is pretty busy, my aspirations are to continue to expand the handmade range, collaborate with talented local makers, source more products locally and make the business more sustainable! One of my favourite stages in the portrait process is when the outline and stipple shading are complete.

It's the point where a blank page starts to transform into something recognisable and full of personality. The tiny dots, delicate details, and expressive features all begin working together, and you can finally see the portrait coming to life before the watercolours make their appearance. 🎨

These "half-completed" portraits have a simple sweetness all of their own, and I couldn't resist sharing a little peek behind the scenes.

There’s just something extra special about turning a beloved childhood toy into a forever keepsake 💖

Whether it’s a scruffy bunny that went everywhere with you, a treasured teddy, or your little one’s current comfort toy… these portraits are designed to capture all the sweetness and nostalgia that comes with them 🫶

And of course… I had to paint one for myself first 🤭

WHO remembers the iconic Nosy Bunnies from Playskool!? The little chicks inside the bubble nose absolutely were just the cutest! My sister had one too 🥹 🐥✨
