🌺Gardens by the Bay🌸 reflecting on my collection. So proud of what I made in such a short time with a covid lockdown for 3 weeks in the middle of it all. Working on my bedroom floor pattern making and grading when I had only just learnt the basics of how to grade. Left to my own devices. I was ecstatic when I was finally able to try on the garments with the models and they actually fit!! Phew 😅

Inspired by the thirties and seventies for the strong colours and elegant silhouettes. I wanted to create my own modern twist on these eras. I wanted my models to feel strong and beautiful. Comfortable without compromising on style. Effortless and sophisticated, while also being bold with colour and print. I hope I have achieved this.

Look 6: Kaleidoscope silk chiffon kaftan worn over hot watermelon v-neck shaped, sleeveless top. With boysenberry linen/cotton/rayon pencil trouser with shaped waistband and belt loops. And printed leather handmade belt.

This kaftan and belt prints were made from original gouache paintings I made from photos while visiting the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. Edited on Photoshop, to make my bespoke textile designs, printed onto 100% silk chiffon and 100% genuine leather.
