I’ve always gravitated towards designers like Dieter Rams and his principle that good design is as little design as possible. At Jaedon, that’s not treated as anything abstract. It simply means making sure the garment works properly for the person wearing it.

Most of the people we deal with aren’t looking for something more impressive. They’re dealing with gear that gets in the way, whether that’s poor fit, unnecessary features, or details that don’t hold up in real conditions. Looking good has its place, but when people are working, performance and safety carry far more weight.

We’re genuinely thrilled to announce that Jaedon has welcomed Chris Edgar to the team.

With over 15 years of experience in the health and safety industry, Chris brings a wealth of PPE and workwear knowledge and is looking forward to helping customers with head-to-toe safety solutions. Over the years, he has worked closely with many different industries, giving him a practical, real-world understanding of the risks teams face every day.

What stood out to us most is how strongly Chris aligns with the way we work and our company values. He’s shares our belief that protection should be personal, and that the best outcomes come from truly understanding the people using the gear.

Known for his hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset, Chris takes the time to understand each environment and tailor solutions that are both compliant and fit for purpose. When we were being shown around Jaedon for the first time, back when we were still deciding whether to buy the business.

What are Electrical Gloves?

If you work in electrical environments, you’ve likely heard the term, but what are electrical gloves, and why do they matter?

Electrical gloves (also called electrical insulating gloves, insulated gloves, dielectric gloves, rubber insulating gloves, low-voltage gloves, or electrical safety gloves) protect workers from electric shock when they work on or near live electrical equipment. Manufacturers produce them using high-dielectric rubber that prevents electrical current from passing through the body.

These are not general-purpose gloves.
Instead, they are engineered life-saving equipment.
