In a disruptive year we learnt a lot about ourselves and the importance of resilience combined with empathy. If we, as adults can role model this to the next generation, then challenges like a global pandemic only serve to strengthen our resolve and bring us closer together as people. Happy New Year. May 2021 be a year of joy and happiness ❤️

This weeks In the Flo session was about career paths. Big thank you to Stu Filo and the Wellington Fire Service for meeting with the kids to talk about a career as a firefighter. Definitely some potential recruits in this lot 🙌🏽 🚒

Awesome experience to be invited to watch school band practice. These kids have talent! I was relieved we ran outta time and I missed my turn to sing. That would not have been pretty 🤣🤦🏽‍♂️

One of the reasons helping kids is a passion project for me is when I was their age we had a guest speaker come to school to talk about goals, values and pursuing dreams. I never forgot that and thought it’ll be cool to do the same one day. In time, even if one of these kids does the same, it’ll be a win 🙏🏽
