What if mag na tayo this coming April 2, 3 and 4?

3days 2nights offline, o ang view sa umaga at stars naman sa gabi. Kwentuhan sa bonfire at kape naman sa malamig na umaga.

Ang tanong saan kaya tayo magccamp near or within dahil mahal na ang gasolina?

Ano !

Our recent camping trip to Carino Beach Resort in Dingalan, Aurora was one for the books. The weather welcomed us kindly—fine and pleasantly cold—made even more refreshing by the strong sea breeze that swept through our campsite. It was the kind of wind that makes you zip up your jacket, pull your blanket closer, and feel grateful to be outdoors.

What made this trip extra special was the mix of people we brought along, especially the first-time campers. For some of them, it was their very first experience sleeping in a tent, trading their super cozy beds at home for the sound of waves and flapping tents. The day was tiring, no doubt—setting up, walking around, and adjusting to the elements—but the exhaustion was quickly replaced by laughter, stories, and memories being made. In fact, before the night even ended, some were already asking, “Where are we camping next?”

We arrived early at the campsite to secure and reserve slots for the rest of the group. It turned out to be a good call because the resort was crowded—many people were also spending the night, while others came just for a day trip. The vibe wasn’t exactly what we imagined at first, but we chose to enjoy the moment anyway. Sometimes, expectations take a backseat, and what truly matters steps forward.

And this time, what mattered most was the people. The fact that we finally got to bring them to the camp—the ones we’ve been hoping to share this experience with—made everything worth it. More than the place, the setup, or the weather, it was the shared moments that counted. Our biggest hope now is simple: that we get to do this again, with the same people, under another sky.

Food was another highlight of the night. We told everyone it would be kanya-kanyang baon—just simple, personal food. But what happened was something closer to a full-on handaan. There was so much food, and everything was delicious. Plates were passed around, laughter filled the air, and no one went hungry.

We even started drinking early, partly because the first-time campers were a little nervous. The idea of sleeping in tents, with the cold wind and unfamiliar sounds, made them miss their comfy beds back home. A few drinks, some jokes, and shared stories later, the worries slowly faded into the night.

It wasn’t a perfect camp—and that’s exactly why it was perfect. The cold wind, the crowded resort, the tired bodies, the overflowing food, and the nervous first-timers all came together to create a night that felt real, warm, and unforgettable. This camping trip reminded us that it’s not always about the place or the plan—it’s about the people you share it with, and the memories you bring home.

And honestly? We can’t wait for the next one.

Follow us for more camp, adventure, food and anything under the sun stories of real life experiences🫶

There’s something about being out here with the people who feel like home. No rush, no worries—just laughs, stories, and moments I’ll carry with me longer than the trip itself. So grateful for these people.

Thank you all until our next camp✅💚🍀

In a world that often chases more, find peace in less. Cherish the warmth of sunlight, the quiet of trees, and the laughter of those who truly care.

Simple things hold the deepest joy—nature, kindness, and the people who stand by you. Love them fiercely.

A Weekend Escape: Camping at NEUST Gabaldon Eco Park

It all started with a simple group chat message: “G? Camping?”

After weeks of chasing deadlines, juggling personal stress, and running on caffeine, we were more than ready for a break.

Some of us had been to NEUST Gabaldon Eco Park before for jamborees and school camps, and we’d heard whispers about its waterfalls, icy mountain streams, and untouched tranquility. That was all we needed. Bags were packed, tents were dusted off, and just as the sun began to rise, we hit the road from Cabanatuan City.

Let’s go!

The ride to Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija was smooth for the most part, although a few roads and bridges were still under construction. But as we ascended into the Sierra Madre foothills, the scenery began to shift. Buildings gave way to towering trees. The air turned cooler. Stress melted away with each winding turn.

Upon arriving at the eco park, we asked around about camping options. The locals and school staff were warm and welcoming, and told us we could pitch our tents almost anywhere. That sense of freedom was the perfect start to our adventure.

Finding Our Spot

The park greeted us with wide, open arms — literally. A spacious camping area just a short walk from clusters of native trees offered the perfect balance of sun and shade. A cool breeze danced through the park, which made pitching tents more of a comedy show than a chore. Some of us clearly needed a refresher on tent setups, but we pulled it off — with lots of laughter along the way.

Rooms were available for rent nearby, and there were electricity poles and solar-powered lights scattered around the area. But we chose to camp under the trees, near the swimming pool fed by fresh mountain stream water and within easy reach of clean comfort rooms. We didn’t come to hike or explore — we came to slow down, rest, and recharge.

A Night Under the Stars

As night settled in, the temperature dropped and the sky lit up with stars. We cooked dinner over a small campfire, shared food and stories, and stared up at the sky longer than we had in years. There was signal, but no one really used their phones.

Instead, we listened to the rhythmic call of kuliglig and the occasional croak of a distant tuko. We set up fairy lights around our tents, casting a soft, calming glow. We stayed up late — drinking, singing, and swapping scary stories that actually gave us chills. There’s a rare kind of peace that comes from being with the people you care about, unplugged from the world, and fully present.

The Morning After

We woke to the comforting smell of breakfast, cooked by our ever-reliable Sir Mau. The promise of hot coffee and a hearty meal got us out of our tents. None of us wanted to leave.

We took our time packing, savoring the final quiet moments before reality called us back. But not before one last dip in the park’s chilly pool, our laughter echoing through the trees as the icy mountain water shocked us awake. It was the perfect send-off.

We left early — life was waiting — but a piece of us stayed behind.

A Simple Reminder

Camping at NEUST Gabaldon Eco Park wasn’t just a quick getaway. It was a reminder: that nature doesn’t have to be grand or far to be healing. That joy lives in simplicity — in slowing down, disconnecting, and sharing unfiltered moments with people who make you feel at home.

So if you're craving a quiet escape — something raw, restful, and soul-refreshing — pack your bag and head to NEUST Gabaldon Eco Park. Bring your flashlight, your sense of adventure, and maybe a little coffee.

You’ll be glad you did.
