Lent | Second Sunday
On the mountain, Jesus is revealed in glory. Light surrounds Him. The disciples are given a glimpse of who He truly is, not to remain in comfort, but to be strengthened for what lies ahead.
Beside Him stand Moses and Elijah, men long gone from earthly life, yet fully alive in Godโs presence. What is revealed is not only Christโs glory, but the promise that life in God does not end in death.
This moment does not remove the Cross. It prepares the heart to face it.
The Father speaks clearly, โThis is my beloved Sonโฆ listen to Him.โ In the midst of awe and fear, the call is not to stay on the mountain, but to trust. To follow even when the path descends back into suffering and uncertainty.
Lent reminds us that God sometimes allows us to see the light, not as a destination, but as a promise, that obedience leads to life, and faithfulness is never lost in Him.
