KIDS PLAY WITH ASWANG, KATAW, BABAYLAN DOLLS & MORE! 😍🥰

Alamatikaz is a doll collection inspired by Visayan folklore and highlights cultural heritage and storytelling through play.

Currently the doll lineup includes the following:
➡️ aswang (shapeshifting, flying humanoid creature)
➡️ kataw (siren)
➡️ dalakitnon (beautiful humanoid forest creature)
➡️ babaylan (Visayan priestess)
➡️ manggubat (Visayan warrior)

In addition to Alamatikaz, Chibisaya giveaways were also given to the kids, thanks to Spicy Kabaw Art ! Chibisaya aims to spread love for Visayan fauna and mythical creatures through chibified animal toys. 🐶🐗🐃🐡🐉

What a cute day of celebrating our culture and wildlife with the youth of Casa Mira South 🥹

Supporting cultural education efforts that center the youth has always been Karakoa's approach and priority in spreading awareness and interest. Indeed, this was a perfect partnership! 🙌

In collaboration with 𝓚𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓴𝓸𝓪 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓭𝓾𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓼, our 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂, and 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴, this project becomes a shared space for storytelling, cultural remembrance, and creative expression rooted in pre-colonial and indigenous Filipino identity.

From historical research and cultural education to the revival of ancestral garments and traditions, their works continue to inspire deeper appreciation for the richness of Visayan and Philippine heritage.

We are deeply honored to create alongside communities and collaborators who share the same vision: to celebrate, preserve, and reintroduce Filipino stories to new generations through art, play, and imagination. ✨🌺
