the Mothers for Peace bags (M4P bags) is a livelihood project of Mothers for Peace -Basilan. They sew the bags at the women's center and there are times, to be able to attend to their family's needs at home, they do the cutting at home and bring to the women's center to sew, since they don't have sewing machines of their own. The project also helps in the advocacy of Mothers for Peace to use reu
sable shopping bags. So far, we have regular NGO groups/organizations and local government agencies who patronize our bags and in the end helping 5 mothers earn regular weekly income to augment their respective families thus economically empowering them.
