We don't usually offer film props, but these came in recently and we decided to give 'em a try.

These props are made of either metal, fiberglass or foam built up with resin or other composites and were all used for movies and series shot in the Philippines.

Why do Vietnam Veterans almost unanimously hate American actress Jane Fonda?

In 1972, antiwar activist Jane Fonda visited Hanoi and was 'invited' to sit down and 'man' a Soviet-supplied M1939 / 61K (37mm) Anti-Aircraft Gun, wearing a Soviet-supplied SSh helmet. In that brief moment, the crafty Vietnamese took tonnes of photos of her.

This infuriated American servicemen and servicewomen, who knew that the same AA gun had shot at and probably downed American aircraft flying over the heavily-defended North Vietnamese capital of Hanoi.

And so it was that Jane Fonda forever became known as 'Hanoi Jane' - enemy of all field Grunts. This carried over for decades afterwards, with millions of Grunts hating on Hanoi Jane up until Desert Storm.

We got these reproductions at a bookstore in 'Nam. They're exact copies of the first, second and final issues of the magazine, which is pretty much like a military-themed ๐๐‹๐€๐˜๐๐Ž๐˜, with pinups and all. Authentic GRUNT MAGAZINES are hella hard to come by and are really pricey.

Still on a high from the recently-concluded OutdoorFest, so we're unveiling something special today.

A REPRODUCTION but vintage WWII German Stahlhelm! Made of fiberglass or a fiber composite, this has been gathering dust in our office for years.

The leather suspension system has long since rotted away, but it's a good display piece for the Mancave. You can also try to restore it if you have thick calfskin leather and some tools.
