I was quietly pierced by Bea Alonzo’s words when she said, “May mga pagpapatawad na kahit walang humihingi, kailangan mong ibigay. At may mga sorry na kahit hindi mo narinig, kailangan mong tanggapin.”
It’s true, life won’t always give you the closure you prayed for or the apology you deserved.
Some wounds are left open not because they can’t be healed, but because God is asking you to finish the healing yourself.
Forgiveness is not always a response, sometimes, it’s a release. A quiet surrender.
And yet, you forgive anyway. Not because they earned it, but because you deserve peace.
Bea’s words remind us of a truth only the brave ever learn, forgiveness is not about them. It is about your freedom, your healing.
Sometimes the most powerful “I’m sorry” is the one you whisper to yourself.
And sometimes the greatest forgiveness is the one you give without being asked.
