Hello, everyone!

�We are friends of Ms. Neriza Casilao, the mother of Haven Geil Yssa C. Sumalileng or “Yunna.” Neriza, Yunna, and the rest of their family are based in the province of Apayao of the Cordillera Administrative Region Luzon in the municipality of Pudtol.

We are knocking on your hearts to help us raise funds to stand with Yunna in her fight against childhood cancer.

Yunna is a beautiful 4-year old who is often seen smiling and bringing joy to those around her. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma last August 2018 when she was only a year and eight months old.

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a malignant tumor that affects the muscles of the body. According to DOH, it is the most common soft tissue cancer in children, often presenting as a mass which may be painful. It usually occurs in the following sites: head and neck, genito-urinary tract, trunk, and extremities. It compromises 2.2% of all childhood cancers.
�Imagine that at this age, Yunna has battled through excision biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, surgery, 5 blood transfusions, and 31 cycles of chemotherapy.

She recovered after that whole bout and was considered well for about a year, but recently this August 2021, we learned that the cancer made its way back again.
�Right now, Yunna is admitted at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center for further diagnostics and management. CVMC is a government-owned tertiary hospital located about three hours travel from their home in Pudtol, Apayao.

Yunna recently underwent a bone scan for better assessment of her condition. But most likely, there will be more diagnostic procedures and treatments required.
Updates on plans for her will be posted here as well.

All funds collected will go directly to their travel, medical, food, and other additional expenses that would help them greatly in this difficult time.
