I don’t know the struggles you are facing, the pain you are enduring or even the battles you are fighting at the moment. All I know is even if your heart is telling you that everything is hopeless, what God has purposed for your life is far greater than what you are seeing or experiencing now. Nothing can thwart His plans for you.

There will be times wherein you will think that giving up seems a better idea, “the best escape route” we say, especially if the situation gets overwhelming.

But, just like you, Someone suffered too- "He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief" (Isaiah 53:3)

He knew what sorrow meant-
“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death” (Matthew 26:38)

He has been ridiculed-
“Again and again they struck him…and spit on him (Mark 15:19)

He knew loneliness-
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)

He suffered an extreme level of pain, mocked and ridiculed even to the point of death, yet has overcome it.

That is why more than Him relating to what you are feeling, He knows every bit of it too because He is there with you. He is “intimately acquainted” with all your ways. (Psalm 139:3)

And the best part is, He is not going anywhere.

He will never leave you nor forsake you.

And because of this truth, you can believe for victory over your struggle. That regardless of your depleted strength, you are sure to be an overcomer because the One who walks with you is the one fighting the battles for you. Because of this truth, you can believe that your present circumstance is not worth comparing to the glory that is coming. And because of Him, you can believe that hope is not just a fairy tale.

Yes, hope is more than a promise.

Hope is your reality.
Our reality.

And as we engrave this in our heart, that Jesus is our living hope,
no matter what we are facing now,

in all these things, we will have complete victory through Him who loved us.
