Igting Sewing Center is a social enterprise that provides quality apparel products and custom sewing services. We specialize in school uniforms, men and women’s apparel, bags and pouches. Igting started as a livelihood project of CAMP Asia, Inc., a non government organization established in 2007 and a subsidiary of CAMP International. The project aims to provide job opportunities to almost 50,000
people living in the resettlement area in Towerville, Bulacan. Some of these families used to be informal settlers, victims of typhoons and floods, and some were forced to relocate due to government’s urban development projects. In 2013, the social enterprise Igting or Maigting na Samahan ng mga Panlipunang Negosyante ng Towerville was established to serve as a venue for income generation and a sustainable social enterprise to empower the residents of Towerville. Igting now has 71 experienced dressmakers and sewers who are all TESDA certified and skilled in the use of various industrial sewing machines. Igting house 127 advanced industrial sewing machines from Cutting, Automatic and Hi-speed Flat machine, Edging, Bartack, Button Hole, Button Sew, Piping and Spreader, Gartering, and Embroidery machines. Igting strives to be a reliable sewing center and a social enterprise that is committed to serve our clients with the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality, and to empower our organization members and the community in achieving growth and sustainability. We envision a sustainable and empowered community through a strong and secure social enterprise.
