EX-BULLPUPS MVP AKOWE COMMITS TO UST 🐯

BREAKING: The UST Growling Tigers have secured the commitment of former UAAP boys’ basketball MVP and Best Foreign Student-Athlete Collins Akowe, the Varsitarian has learned.

The 19-year-old Nigerian center from the National University Nazareth School (NUNS) led the Bullpups to back-to-back silver finishes the past two seasons.

He averaged 20.94 points, 19.28 rebounds, 2.56 assists and 1.94 blocks per game in Season 87 — his final year with the Bullpups — when they lost to the UST Tiger Cubs in the finals.

The UST Tiger Cubs are back on top of UAAP boys’ basketball after 24 years, edging out the top-seeded NUNS Bullpups in an overtime victory in the winner-take-all Game 3.
