Dreanne is a 9-year-old student currently in her 4th grade in elementary. She has enrolled in a specialized Elementary English curriculum that meets twice a week on weekends. Week 1 (2 days) is about learning sentence creation and rules (sentences vs phrases), subject & predicate, subject-verb agreement, helping verbs, past & present tenses, and the 4 types of sentences.

Dreanne is a 9-year-old student currently in her 4th grade in elementary. She has enrolled in a specialized Math curriculum that meets twice a week on weekends. Week 1 (2 days) is about learning place values up to 100,000 including tenths, hundredths, and thousandths then rounding numbers.

Yesterday was Rose’ first day of tutorials and she’s currently our youngest enrollee ☺️ At 2 years and 2 months, she shows great interest in learning especially in the alphabet and in writing activities. She’s currently enrolled in our Preschool Reading course with a specialized curriculum. Week 1 is about word exposure through books and familiarizing sounds of common letters (phonics) through flash cards and demos as a foundation to reading.

Side note, we weren’t able to take more photos because we were focused on the lesson 😊

Week 2: Writing exercises ✏️

Update on Seme’s Journey: 11 sessions in 14 days. Week 2 was about actually writing using both a larger medium for easier grip (marker) and a smaller medium for a little challenge (Mongol 2 pencil). He was able to write all the letters of the alphabet without supervision (with a little bit of struggle on R, S, and N). He was also able to write in lowercase. We also continued using the rubber band technique while writing to learn the proper pencil positioning and grip. In addition, he has familiarized spelling his name and was able to write the letters on it. He has also written several words by just copying them from a flashcard. Finally, he was able to write his name in Uppercase by copying each letter.

Seme is a good learner and has shown improvement after just 2 weeks. Although our curriculum was cut short due to regular school classes starting, both our client and us are very happy with his journey ☺️

We’re very proud of this little boy, who did his best in Writing — one caper at a time 💚

Week 1: Pre-writing exercises ✏️

A little update on Seme’s journey. He’s currently enrolled in our Preschool Writing course with a customized curriculum. Week 1 is about developing his fine motor skills and familiarizing the letters of his name as a foundation to writing. Today, he continued with fine motor skills activities like playing and shaping clay, color matching with wooden clips, cutting with scissors, and stretching rubber bands using his fingers. We also started using the rubber band technique while tracing to learn the proper pencil positioning and grip. In addition, we started with familiarizing his written name and the letters on it by letting him choose his name in a pool of random names, and letting him arrange the letters of his name in proper order. Lastly, he traced letters of the Alphabet using an erasable marker and clay. These activities will last for another 2 - 3 days.

Little peak at our latest student’s daily pre-writing exercises ✏️

Seme is 6-year-old and is set to enter the 1st grade. Even though he is well-versed in the English Alphabet and knows how to read simple words, he still can’t write and spell his name. He is also struggling with creating shapes. To address this, he’s currently enrolled in our Preschool Writing course with a specialized curriculum. Week 1 is about developing his fine motor skills and familiarizing the letters of his name as a foundation to writing. He’s also still adjusting to a new learning environment and a new person (Teacher Keithdy). Tune in for more!
