Not everyone who stays loves you. Some stay because you are useful.
“Some people only love you when you are useful.”
You usually discover this when life gets heavy.
When you are tired.
When you are messy.
When you have nothing.
Suddenly, some people grow distant.
The calls become fewer. The concern becomes quiet. The presence disappears.
Not because you changed. But because your usefulness did.
This is why hard seasons can be holy seasons.
They show who loves your heart and who only loved your benefits.
Do not be bitter when some people leave. Let them go with peace.
God sometimes removes false closeness so you can recognize real love.
Treasure the ones who stay when you are silent, when you are struggling, when you have nothing impressive to offer.
Those people are rare.
True love does not ask first what it can get from you.
True love asks how it can stand beside you.
