Last March 27, 2026, our Founder, Ian Rheil Amistoso, proudly represented SAPABI as a Resource Speaker during the Capacity Building on Women People’s Organization and Informal Waste Sector on Recycling and Upcycling held at Agua Frio, Koronadal City, spearheaded by DENR EMB Region 12. ✨

With passion and purpose, he shared valuable knowledge and practical insights on sustainable practices, empowering women and members of the informal waste sector to transform waste into meaningful and marketable products through recycling and upcycling.

Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the DENR EMB Soccsksargen during their “Capacity Building on Women People’s Organizations and Informal Waste Sector” last March 26, 2026 at Agua Frio Resort, Koronadal. CITY

Thank you to the organizers and to everyone who invited and trusted us to share what we do at Sapabi Upcycle & Rework.

It was truly a pleasure to conduct a workshop on transforming cellophane waste into functional pieces like wallets and pouches.

Moments like this remind me why I started turning waste into something valuable, and showing that trash can become a source of income and empowerment.

We are deeply thankful to be surrounded by people and communities who appreciate and support this advocacy. Let’s continue creating impact, one upcycled piece at a time ♻️✨
