Does anyone else do math that makes sense until it doesn't? I drove 40 minutes out of my way to save $11 on groceries because the other store had a sale. I did not account for the gas until I was already in the parking lot doing the subtraction on my phone. The number I ended up with was $3.40.

Responsible and avoidant are not the same thing, but for a long time my bank app stayed off my home screen and I called it discipline.

I once spent 35 minutes reorganizing my bag before a 10-minute errand because something about leaving felt wrong if the bag wasn't right.
The errand took 9 minutes.
